Matthew 16:13-17 | Who Do You Say That I Am?

When Jesus and His disciples arrive in the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asks them who people believe He is. They report various opinions—John the Baptist, Elijah, Jeremiah, or another prophet. Jesus then asks them directly, “But who do you say I am?” Peter responds with a bold confession: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus affirms Peter’s answer, declaring him blessed because this truth was revealed by the Father, not discovered through human reasoning.
